I recall an instance from several years ago while Jen and I were still living in our first home. I was woken up this morning at around 4:15 by the sound of my daughter gently crying as she entering my bedroom. She’s basically been in the pool non-stop since school got out and her dedication has yielded a painful case of swimmer’s ear. A couple of children’s Tylenol and a quick prayer got her settled back down, but I had an unusually hard time falling back asleep. So the clocks are set back, the landscaping trucks are out, the ice cream man drove past my house last night and I even saw and heard the first thunder and lightning of the season. Now if would just get up into the 60′s once in a while I could feel like Spring is truly here.
So we’ve got a lot of stuff to talk about here on the Right Thing, but I don’t have much time. So this week I’m calling out for some Sermon Prep assistance.
In July we’re doing another Behind the Music series. This time around we’re doing 4 weeks on the music of U2. Cool right? This will be a great chance for you to invite that music fan in your life to church.
I need to pick which songs to use though. Everybody holla back and tell me which U2 song would make for the best sermon material and why.
