Sorry for the long hiatus.   Life has indeed been crazy, but no excuses.  Long silences are bad form.

Apologies.  Mea culpa.  My bad.

So, I have much to write about, but first, the promised explanation of what it means to get Rick Rolled.

Some of you were watching a nondescript musical number during the Thanksgiving Day parade when Rick Astley appeared out of nowhere and started singing 'Never Gonna Give You Up,' which was his one hit from the 80's.

At which point you either cracked up laughing, or just looked slightly puzzled and wondered why everyone else was.

Well, my dear unsuspecting viewer, you just got Rick Rolled.  And in my humble opinion, it's the funniest and most culturally relevant thing that's ever happened in the parade.

Rick Rolling is basically an internet phenomenon that involves a bait-and-switch.  You do a google search on something innocuous, like antique cars or poker strategy, and instead of the promised page, you end up with a face full of this goodness:

So, that's what it means to get Rick Rolled.  That's why everyone was laughing it up on Thanksgiving Day, and that's why I want to shake the hand of the produced who gave that idea the green-light and Rick Rolled America.

It was the essence of the Right Thing.
